Keeps the Township Book of Oaths.
Responsible for special meeting notices.
Publish Board minutes (if taxable value is $72 million in annual 2008, annually indexed, or a charter township).
Maintain Qualified Voter file
Issue Absentee Voting ballots
Conduct elections.
Keeps Township Ordinance Book.
Prepares financial statements.
Delivers tax certificates to supervisor and county clerk by Sept 30.
Must appoint a Deputy Clerk and post security bond.

Treasurer is elected; term is 4 years.
Voting member of Township board
Collects real and personal property taxes
Maintains account of revenue and expenditures.
Issue Township checks.
Deposits Township revenues
Invests Township funds per approved policy.
Collects Delinquent personal property tax.
Exercise Jeopardy assessment in collecting property taxes.
Collects mobile home tax.
Must appoint a Deputy Treasurer.
Must post security bond.

Trustee is elected; term is 4 years.
Voting member of Township board
Township Legislature.
Responsible for Township’s fiduciary health.
Other duties as defined by Township Board.
Deputy Clerk is appointed by the Township Clerk.
Term is variable and determined by the Clerk.
Must take an oath of office.
Possesses the powers and performs the duties of the Clerk in case of the absence, sickness, death, or other disability of the Clerk.
May assist the Clerk to perform regular Clerk’s duties, with the approval of the Township Board.
Township Board determines the compensation plan and amount.
Shall not have voting power on the Township Board.
Deputy Treasurer is appointed by the Township Treasurer.
Term is variable and determined by the Treasurer.
Must take an oath of office.
Must post a bond.
Possesses the powers and performs the duties of the Treasurer in case of the absence, sickness, death, or other disability of the Treasurer.
May assist the Treasurer to perform normal Treasurer’s duties, with the approval of the Township Board.
Township Board determines the compensation plan and amount.
Shall not have voting power on the Township Board.

Road side trash and recycling pick up:
Hamilton Township has road side trash pick up and road side recycling pick up.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRASH OR RECYCLING AT THE TOWNSHIP HALL!!
Republic Services picks up rubbish each Wednesday and Recycling every other Wednesday. It is best to put rubbish and recycling carts at the roadside, the night before to avoid being missed. One large item is allowed per week. No need to call, simply place the item next to the rubbish cart.
